In the early 1900's a group emerged in merry old London town that took the clothing industry by storm. These young boys, with the hopes of becoming men, began thinking outside the dull grey cube that was fashion..
Casting off the stereotype of the typical 'bloke', these fellas began stealing fashion, style and even dignity from their female counterparts. Hairstyles, clothing and trends, nothing was sacred, nothing was too feminine for them to wear..
What’s more, as the first of their kind these boys turned back the clock to the 1800's and the Edwardian period, bringing history and long dead style back to life with a modern twist. A article in the NY times threw this underground fashion cult into the spotlight, carelessly nicknaming the period they loved so much as the 'teddy period' and nicknaming the lads the 'teddy boys'. A name that has stuck with them ever since..
The teddy boy funk exploded onto the scene, setting the style for the day and paving the way for the Mods, the Rockers and eventually the Metros..
Ladies & gentlemen, you've heard of them, now meet them..
Introducing... The Edwardian Boys.
